Former Liverpool defender suffers a horrific injury

Former Liverpool defender and Slovakian international Martin Skrtel has suffered a career threatening injury. The 37 year old defender who currently plays for Turkish defending champions Istanbul Basaksehir  fell in an unusual motion during the Turkish super lig round 15 match with Kasimpasa on the 27th of December 2020 at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim stadium in Istanbul, Turkey.

As a result of the fall, the 37 year old defender raptured his Achilles tendon in his left foot and was substituted immediately. Later, he was ruled out of action for the rest of the season after further tests and scans.

The defender has undergone a successful surgery in the Turkish capital,and he is expected to start his rehabilitation soon.

Skrtel joined the Istanbul club in 2019 from Atalanta in the Italian Serie A and has made 44 appearances with 4 goals. He has a contract with the team until June 2021.

Chelsea Defender Fikayo Tomori Joins AC Milan On Loan

Chelsea Legend, Didier Drogba Divorces Wife After 20 Years Of Marriage.

  14th January,2021                            7:56pm Former Chelsea Footballer and Ivorian International Footballer, Didier Drogba has filled a divorce suit to terminate his marriage with his Malian wife Lalla Diakite.
