Former president Jerry John Rawlings to be buried on January 27th

New dates for the burial and final funeral rites of late former president of Ghana Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings has finally been set. This was after the initial dates for his burial which was supposed to take place on the 23rd of December 2020 was postponed indefinitely.
According to a communique by the  Ministry of foreign affairs and regional integration, the mortal remains of  the longest serving president of the 4th republic will be laid in state from 24th to 26th January at the Foyer of the Accra International Conference Centre(AICC) from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily for filling past.
A mass service will be held for him on the 26th of January from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Holy spirit cathedral in Accra which will be followed by his burial service at the Independence square in Accra on 27th January from 9:00am to 11:00 am. 
The former president died on 12th November 2020 al the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness.
