NaCCA boss says goodbye as he enters 8th parliament

The Acting Director General of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) Dr. Prince Hamid Armah has said goodbye to the council after emerging as the member of Parliament elect for Kwesimintim constituency in the just ended December 7th polls.
Mr Hamid Armah was appointed by the president Nana Addo Dunkwa Akuffo Addo as the Executive Secretary in 2019 after his predecessor went on retirement.
Under his tenure,there was a massive changes in curriculum contents,learning approaches and several productive system of assessment in Ghana's education.
Educational reforms such as the "Common Core Programme" are some of his handiworks.
Addressing the staff of the council in a brief ceremony on Tuesday 5th January, 2020. Dr. Armah statement that
“We have conducted nationwide training for teachers to equip them for the new paradigm ushered in by our reforms. And we have approved, with the highest standards of quality control, textbooks consistent with the features of the new curriculum.
“Above all, we leave the institution itself rejuvenated, able to face the challenges of modern institutions in its class and set to continue along the path of developing a system of learning that will produce a creative and innovative generation of thinkers, creators and leaders to take this country to its next level of development,” he continued.
The chairman of NaCCA professor Kwame Osei Kwarteng gewced the brief ceremony by congratulating Dr Armah and wished him well in all his endeavors.
