Supreme Court clears Amewu

The Supreme Court of Ghana has has given John Peter Amewu the greenlight to be sworn in to represent the people of Hohoe constituency in the 8th of the 4th republic of Ghana.

Weeks earlier, an injunction was placed on his swearing in by Ho High court which was later quashed by the attorney general.

A five member panel of the supreme court has today 5th January, 2021 quashed the injunction and given the honourable energy minister the go ahead to be sworn in as member of parliament elect for the people of Hohoe constituency.
