JUST IN: ASEPA petitions Supreme Court.

30th December,2020.    2:28pm

Alliance for Social Equity & Public Accountability (ASEPA) has layed a petition before the Supreme Court of Ghana.

ASEPA through the Office of the Chief Justice is calling for the exclusion of Justice Jones Dotse from all election related hearings since he is being considered for the position of Speaker of Parliament by the ruling NPP.

The civil society organization believes even though the issue still remains a rumor, it is enough to prejudice the learned Judge from making any independent determination of any election related adjudication he may be part of.

ASEPA is asking the Chief Justice to consider their petition before empaneling judges to sit on both the Hohoe Injunction case and the Presidential Elections petition that may be brought before it by the NDC
