COVID -19 kills nurse in Bolgatanga

A nurse at the War Memorial hospital in Bolgatanga in the Kassena-Nankana Municipality of the Upper East Region has died after battling deadly global pandemic COVID-19.

According to the chairman of the Ghana registered Nurses and  Midwives Association(GRNMA) of the Municipality, Mr. Habib Mahama, the unfortunate incident happened on Friday, January 15.

He further indicated that, the deceased worked at the pediatric unit of the hospital until her untimely demise at the Regional treatment center in Bolgatanga. 

Mr Mahama also called on the management of the hospital to close down  the facility for fumigation to ensure proper and safe health care delivery.
