Laptops for teachers ready for distribution.

All government teachers at the pre-tertiary level are expected to receive a Government of Ghana subsidized laptop to enhance effective and efficient teaching and learning amid the introduction of the much talked about new curriculum.

The initiative which is to help teachers to get abreast with  I.T advancement in the education sector was implemented and executed by the Teacher Unions and the Ghana Education Service (GES) states that the total cost of the laptops which is Ghc1,550 will be split between the Government of Ghana and teachers by 70% and 30% respectively. A total payment of Ghc465.00 is supposed to be made by every teacher to cover the 30% of the cost with a monthly deduction of Ghc38.72 from salaries through the Controller and Accountant General's department (CAGD).

The laptop has preinstalled features such as  Templates of Lesson  Notes , Scheme of work, curriculum(K.G to SHS), Labour Act, Code of Conduct, Education Bill, Text Books, Ghana's Constitution and Etc.

notable hardware features of the laptop includes; Celeron 4020 processor, internal memory of 500 Gigabytes, 4GB RAM, 10000 mAH battery and a 600 UHD graphics display.

Ogidi Brown and Fameye clash at Antoa shrine with elders over their fight (Photos)

  31st December, 2020   6:34am Former OGB music signee Fameye has clashed with former manager at the headquarters of one of the most feared and powerful Ghanaian deity "Antoa" after their brawl became the talk of town.   11th January,2021             11:46 The Ghana Education Service (GES) and the National Council  for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA) will fully implement  t he Common Core Program (CCP) this academic year for JHS 1   (Basic 7) and SHS1 (Basic 10) after organizing workshops  for the facilitators/teachers at the JHS level.
